Gray Relational Analysis of Red Mud Mass Fraction and Asphalt Performance

Abstract

In order to analyze the variation trend and sensitivity of the asphalt performance index with the mass fraction of red mud changing, six kinds of non-dimensional treatment in the gray theory were used to obtain the effect of mass fraction of red mud on 15 ℃ penetration, 25 ℃ penetration, 30 ℃ penetration, softening point and 15 ℃ ductility. Through the test, the penetration index, equivalent softening point and equivalent brittle point were calulated respectively and the standard deviation was obtained. The results show that there exists correlation between the performance of modified asphalt and the quality fraction of red mud. The quality firaction of red mud has the most significant effect on the softening point of asphalt, followed by 15 ℃extension, 15 ℃ penetration, 25 ℃ penetration, and 30 ℃ penetration.The standard deviation evaluation method of test performance index shows that the significant factors affecting the performance of modified asphalt are 15℃ extension, softening point, 15 ℃ penetration, 30 ℃ penetration, 25 ℃ penetration successively. The fitting degree by means of homogenization and minimization, and standard deviation evaluation method of test performance index is higher.
