Contents of professional and pedagogical activities of Taekwon-Do coaches

Abstract
The article is devoted to questions of professional and pedagogical activity of Taekwon-Do coach. The purpose of the article is the separation of pedagogical means, methods and principles of athletics training in Taekwon-Do and the revealing of their content. It is determined that Taekwon-Do is a system of functional development of a person of any age who uses certain techniques and exercises for the purpose of functional development and sports training. Sports training of a Taekwon-Do skilled athlete is a purposeful and multi-year process whose main goal is to achieve high sports results. In the article the following directions of activity of the coach are considered: physical, technical, tactical, theoretical, psychological and integrative preparation of the Taekwon-Do athlete. Specifies the means of sports training: general, preparatory, auxiliary, special-preparatory, and competitive. The complex of methods of training is presented: general pedagogical (verbal and visual) and practical (the method of regulated exercises, game and competitive methods). The subgroups of practical methods of training are considered: methods aimed at mastering sports technique (holistic, constructive, dismembered-constructive) and methods aimed at the development of physical qualities of an athlete (continuous and interval). The contents of the game and competition methods, which are given taking into account the specifics of Taekwon-Do training, are revealed. The general didactic principles of training are singled out: consciousness and activity in teaching, visibility, systematic and consistent, accessibility and individual approach. The description of the principles of improving the athletic skill in Taekwon-do, which should be followed by the coach when organizing the training process with athletes of higher qualification is given. Namely, the principle of strength and variability of skills; the principle of matching and improving athletic skills; the principle of compensation in sports skills; the principle of a directed combination in the development of sporting skills, the principle of the influence of existing athlete skills for further training.
