CULTURA ORGANIZACIONAL E REPRESENTAÇÕES SOCIAIS: UM ENSAIO TEÓRICO

Abstract
This theoretical essay discussed the topics organizational culture and social representation. The work seeks to identify how the social representations theory can contribute to the seizure of organizational culture inside companies. This is a theoretical conceptual work constructed from literature, in which each term was previously conceptualized for a better understanding of the meanings. Due to the complexity of the concept of culture, references from the humanities and social sciences were used, but mostly from anthropology, in a macro perspective. The social representations theory was addressed using the main theorists who studied this subject as a reference, especially the French researchers such as Moscovici and Jodelet, and some of their leading disciples. The justification for this study is the fact that the social representations theory can arise as a lens capable of providing an understanding of the context of organizational culture. As a result, it was considered important to incorporate the social representations theory in the quest to interpret the meanings that permeate the organizational culture.
