DEVELOPMENT OF SPEAKING SKILLS THROUGH CREATING AND SOLVING PROBLEMS AT ENGLISH LESSONS

Abstract

Since English has become the main tool in not only English classes but in other core subjects, its necessity is becoming dominant among learners. This paper deals with improving speaking skills by putting problems taken from school curricular topics and solving them using learners’ background knowledge as well as sharing the new information including new vocabulary and grammar that gained currently. Solving problems is taught by applying effective strategies that provide the development of productive skills.
