Diagnostic Table for the Description of Rhododendron Taxa at the Botanical Garden of Šiauliai University

Abstract
The transfer of any plant into new environment usually changes its biological life cycle. This can even lead to the occurrence of new morphological features or alterations in the existing traits. The table designed exclusively for the description of rhododendron at botanical garden allowed highlighting of diagnostic features of introduced rhododendrons. The main diagnostic features of distinguishing rhododendron taxa from each other are the character of leaf greening, leaf shape, length, colour, the level of hairiness / tomentousness or scaliness of central structures, flower diameter, shape of corolla, and the length of stamens
