Abstract
The current situation in art education, musical and pedagogical practical activities determine the study of the features of the professional training targeted to the future Music teachers from the position of strong and weak points. It should be noted that today a piece of music at the Music lessons is considered and presented by the teacher to the students in the musicological context. The future specialist, if he / she conscientiously studies at the Faculty of Music and Pedagogy of the pedagogical university, as a result will masterfully play the musical instrument, be well aware of as well as accumulate various verbal cliches in sufficient quantity necessary for characterizing musical masterpieces. At the same time, their own vision and understanding of music will turn out to be overshadowed, and sometimes it will not be considered obligatory at all. Discussions with students dedicated to their own instrumental interpretations and various concerts ‒ from educational to philharmonic ones ‒ in the context of defining the features of performance interpretations of musical creations, unfortunately, very often reflect the almost complete facelessness of the individual performing and creative positions of future specialists. All this confirms, in our opinion, insufficient development of creative self-expression of students of musical-pedagogical universities in the course of performing instrumental training. Although modern art education declares the strengthening of the creative component, the education of a peculiar, unusual, all-round developed personality possessing a rich artistic potential, unfortunately, in most cases, future Music teachers lack such qualities as: initiative, independence, artistic and cognitive interest, the activity of music perception, which hinders the process of creative self-expression when interpreting musical works. The aim of this article is to highlight the results of a diagnostic experiment aimed at determining the overall level of development of future music teachers’ creative expression in the process of performing instrumental training on the basis of the developed the criteria and manifestation indicators of the phenomenon investigated. It has been clarified that the students’ creative self-expression is the ability to realize creative potential and special experience in the process of conscious perception and expressive-intonational sound embodiment of one's own individual illustrative-instrumental concepts that are adequate to existing art-established traditions through self-presentation under conditions of dialogical interaction, which provides person’s special self-actualization and self-affirmation. The detection of the structural components of the creative expression of future Music teachers in the process of performing instrumental training, as well as of the features and their specificity, is the basis for determining the criteria for the development of the phenomenon under study, they are: demand- and value-oriented, cognitive-operational, communicative-conceptual and result-evaluative. The generalization of the results of the ascertaining experiment proves that the most developed creative expression of the future Music teachers in the process of performing instrumental training turned out to be a demand- and value-oriented criterion. To be more presice, 32% of the students have a high motivation for instrumental training and they consider their future profession to be one of the possibilities for creative expression, in a greater degree, thanks to the interpretation activity. The results of the development of the phenomenon under study based on the cognitive operational criteria are somewhat lower; this criterion reflects the level of theoretical knowledge and practical actions necessary to create an interpretative conception. The diagnosis made it possible to find out that knowledge, as a rule, is not sufficiently realized by students in the course of their practical use, and the level of interest considerably exceeds the overall level of development of the phenomenon being studied. It was determined that the instrumental-theoretical preparedness of the future Music teachers is insufficient for effective creative expression The indicators of the communicative-conceptual criterion turned to be significantly lower. As a result of the diagnostic stage of the study, it was found out that students were not sufficiently trained in the field of artistic communication involving music information, they lack experience in this kind of communication. The experimental work aimed at determining the development level of the phenomenon under study based on a result-evaluative criterion made it possible to state that the students’ skills of objective self-analysis and self-esteem concerning the results of creative self-expression in the process of performing instrumental training are too limited, a generalized critical attitude to the analysis of one's own interpretational concept prevails; The future specialists are guided mainly by identifying shortcomings in themselves as well as in the creative interpretation of other students. The prospects for further research on the stated problem might be devoted to the development of the methodology for the creative expression of future Music teachers in the process of performing instrumental training.
