Abstract
The aim of article is the reconstruction of views of John Amos Comenius that relate to methods of discovering the world and man. Presented are the subject, purpose and sources of knowledge which have been identified by the author. Attention was also drawn to the innovative approach to education and training, which Comenius treated as interrelated spheres of interaction.
