Эффективный скрининг как необходимое условие реализации программы ВОЗ по элиминации вирусных гепатитов в Украине

Abstract
Hepatitis C virus is the main cause of chronic liver disease, cirrhosis and hepatoce- llu lar carcinoma, as well as the most common indication for liver transplantation in many countries, including Ukraine. To achieve the goals of the WHO elimination program, it is necessary to treat a signifi cant number of the population with hepatitis C in Ukraine. Th is suggests that increased range for screening and treatment will be critical for Ukraine. Th e article presents estimation of the number of patients to be diagnosed annually for treatment in accordance with certain therapeutic strategies that are necessary to achieve the WHO target for elimination of hepatitis C in Ukraine by 2030. A modeling method was used to estimate the change in the number of infected individuals, the progression of the disease, the proportion of patients with diff erent stages of fi brosis, the mortality associated with the terminal stages of the liver disease.
