ELECTRONIC GOVERNANCE AS AN INSTRUMENT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATIONAL SOCIETY IN UKRAINE

Abstract
Different concepts of information society were analyzed. The regulatory and legal bases for introduction of the information society in Ukraine were explored. The contradictions between the declared provisions of the official concept of the development of the information society and the current situation that arose as a result of the gradual introduction of e-governance technologies in Ukraine were revealed. Uncritical attitude to new ideas can have negative consequences. And given the global nature of the plans for the development of the information society, the implications will also be global. It is impossible not to take into account the views of scientists who are not so enthusiastic about the prospects for large-scale social transformations that are planned as a result of the development of the information society. Careful consideration should be given to alternative – from the official point of view – the views of prominent scholars, politicians, philosophers regarding the potential risks of implementing the concepts of the information society and e-governance.
