Abstract

Energetic Value of Physical Activity of Children in Pre-School Age — Pilot Studies At present, no one has to be convinced that physical activity plays a key role in the process of human development at every stage of his or her life. There is also growing public awareness of the need for physical activity as a permanent and necessary factor for maintaining health. In order for the activity to have a positive effect on human health, it is necessary that its level is appropriately established. The level of activity is determined individually and depends on many factors such as age, gender, previous experience in exercise, degree of development of the organism. Specialists pay attention to the relationship of physical activity with the development of motion, body posture, nervous, respiratory and vegetative system. Lack of physical activity can lead to cardiovascular disease, obesity. These are just some examples of the need for physical activity in a person’s life. Considering the psychophysical development of a young person, especially a pre-school child, attention should be paid to shaping certain habits related to physical activity, health, nutrition, hygiene, and aesthetics, which will be of great importance in adulthood. Considering the lack of research on this issue, it is to be believed that there is a need for such research. Accordingly, it was decided to investigate the level of physical activity of the group of children (105 people) aged 3-6 attending several kindergartens in Biała Podlaska region. This was a pilot study and showed that there is a link between the physical activity of the child and the kindergarten to which he or she attends and some other factors. The proposals were made available to kindergartens participating in the research project. They will be helpful in organizing classes in kindergartens.
