ENSURING TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY OF UKRAINE: NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEGAL ASPECTS

Abstract
The article examines the problems of ensuring the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine taking into account existing legal standards, legislative framework and current realities. A broad and narrow understanding of territorial integrity is given, based on the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, and accordingly the specifics of this notion of “territorial integrity” in various aspects (forms of expression): as an essential political and spatial feature of the sovereign territory of the state; as a principle of international law; as a principle of territorial organization; as an object of national security of Ukraine. Ensuring the territorial integrity and integrity of Ukraine is an integral part of the legal mechanism for ensuring the constitutional system and sovereignty of the state, which consists of constitutional and legal guarantees of unity, integrity and inviolability of the territory of Ukraine, the constitutionally regulated procedure for changing the state border.
