ESCOLA PÚBLICA E POPULAR E EDUCAÇÃO DO CAMPO

Abstract

This text postulated to evidence the Field Education as a material manifestation of a popular public school. So far, the debate may seem peaceful, that is, to shape and sustain such an assumption, one starts with a Marxian reference with double intentionality: evidence the sustaining method of reflections and reflect from Marx’s considerations, the essence of popular public education. The set of reflections addresses the concept of State, to find the social commitment to education and population’s inclusion in its management. In this sense, the category autonomy is fundamental to relations between social actors and the State. It is also necessary to address the limits of the current school under the Capital and the popular educational practice, which approximates school and life. In this sense, the proposition carried joins the plea for the popular public school, whose concept is also detailed. The Field Education practice is exposed in order to materialize these principles in formal, legal, pedagogical and practical plans. Finally, there is the need for social movements’ integration - in which the Field Education is inserted - and their dynamics in educational praxis, a major factor in the construction of popular education.
