EUROPEAN PRACTICES OF SOCIAL COHESION FOR THE VALUE-BASED COMPETENCES MODEL IN THE PEDAGOGICAL HIGH EDUCATION SYSTEM: COGNITIVE APPROACH

Abstract

The article shows that the social role of education will be increased in the modern crisis situation. Structural changes in the system of pedagogical education should be linked to the introduction of value-based competences approach. This approach will lead to the modernization of teacher education that helps to build a strong fundamental base for the training of the new generation of educators. The main result will be in the improving of the qualityof educational services in a higher education institution, especiallyin pedagogical institutions. Value-based competences model of the pedagogical education will help to determine and develop the set of the key values for the successful process. The problem of achieving social cohesion (and social efficiency, accordingly) can be solved by applying the cognitive approach in education, in particular, the introduction of cognitive technologies. We can consider both internal (classes, educational dimension, etc.) and external (communities, social environment of educational institutions, system of education, etc.) social education systems. For the all of these educational systems the cognitive approach to the value-based model of competences is very effective because of clear understanding of the cognitive mechanisms of educations, social cohesion, effective behavior in communications and teaching, etc.
