Abstract
The article deals with risks and challenges Higher Education may face. The author pays special attention to the issue of forming future professionals culturally and comprehensively educated. Humanities, integral part of all-round education, are currently facing serious challenges and undergoing serious transformations. Humanitarian approach to life and people can’t be neglected in the modern world. It allows to maintain original “out of the box” thinking, tolerance and acceptance of reality and environments in all spheres. The key role in it belongs to educational institutions that include Humanities in their curricula and, therefore, fill the content of education with humanitarian component. Otherwise the society risks losing opportunity to educate competent professionals thinking creatively and having high moral standards.
