Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze the potential risks that arise in the process of interaction between the higher school and the stakeholders of the educational services market. The author comes to the conclusion that the main factor leading to the emergence of such risks is the extreme diversity of interest groups that operate in higher education. Among these risks are the conflicts of interests between interest groups, the different influence of interest groups on the functioning of a higher education institution, the phenomenon of stakeholder fatigue. In the conditions of democratization of the management of the higher education system, the problem of the incompetence of the stakeholders also becomes topical. In order to prevent these risks, the university should focus on finding compromises between diverse requests of interested groups and information support for external stakeholders who should have a holistic view of the objectives and characteristics of the functioning of the higher school.An important factor in overcoming the risks arising in the sphere of interaction between stakeholders is also compliance by all parties generally accepted standards of social responsibility.
