Journal Title: Medycyna Ogólna i Nauki o Zdrowiu - Year 2010, Vol 16, Issue 4

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the selected aspects of patient satisfaction with treatment in primary health care centres in rural areas and small towns of south-eastern Poland. The study group represented 794 randomly selected individuals using the services of primary healthcare facilities. The level of overall satisfaction with care among patients is satisfactory. In order to improve patient satisfaction with received services, in the first place, it would be necessary to reduce the waiting time, more often provide emotional support in difficult situations related to disease and, to the best of ability, consider the suggestions of patients concerning, among other things, the methods of their treatment.
