EXPLICATION OF THE CONCEPT «STYDUING» IN THE TEXTS OF YOUTH MAGAZINE «JA STUDENT»

Abstract
The object of the study is the language of students’ media texts. Its theme is the explication of the concept «studying» in the texts of youth magazine «JA STUDENT» («I'm a student»). The purpose of the research is to find out the semantic structure of the concept «studying» through analysis of its language representation. The methodological basis of the study is the descriptive method and the method of component analysis. The problem of studying public opinion on the situation in education has not done yet on linguistic level. In conditions of education reformation in Ukraine such a study is very necessary; it could be one of the most effective means, improving the national education. Concept «studying» along with other cognitive units such as «education», «student», «teacher» is one of the important elements in the conceptual structure of education. The main representant of the concept «studying» in the texts of the magazine «JA STUDENT» is a word studying and its forms to study and academic, and also several other lexical unites which are the names of educational concepts. Students’ texts demonstrate new forms of lexical representants appearing in the Ukrainian language nowadays: the use of English names instead of Ukrainian ones, transformation of Ukrainian words into Latin form and so on is the result of «fashion». Definitely, this is undesirable phenomenon in Ukrainian media texts should be a sample of literary speech. Generally semantic structure of the concept «studying» is associated with students’ need to obtain knowledge and their clear understanding the difficulty of this process and its prospects.
