FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE SKILLED WORKER IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Abstract
Purpose. To carry out the analysis of formation of professional competence of skilled workers in the process of professional training and to identify ways to improve it. Methodology. The research uses a number of theoretical methods, among them: theoretical and system analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature, comparison, systematization, abstraction and specification, designing. Results. It is established that the competence approach is one of the perspective directions of modernization of vocational education. Achieving the professionalism of skilled workers is due to the implementation of this approach in the process of their professional training. To increase the efficiency of forming the professional competence of future skilled workers, the availability of professional educational standards is required; formation of interdisciplinary knowledge, skills and abilities; improvement of scientific and methodological support; professionalism of teachers; introduction of innovative forms and methods of teaching; effective practical training; employment of graduates in the specialty. Originality. For the first time, the components of the professional competence of a skilled worker were identified, the stages of his professional development and factors contributing to the efficiency of professional training of future skilled workers were pointed out. Practical value. The authors' research on the peculiarities of forming the professional competence of a future skilled worker in the process of professional training allowed to identify ways to increase its efficiency. The results of the study can be used in the development of up-to-date standards for the training of future skilled workers and for the content of curricula and programs under which their training is carried out. Conclusions. The study of the peculiarities of the formation of the professional competence of the future skilled worker in the process of professional training has proved that in order to increase its efficiency, it is necessary to apply a competence approach that involves updating the content of the training in accordance with the expected result of the variability of educational programs, forms and methods of teaching and organization of educational activities.
