Abstract
The peculiarities of the civil competence formation under the school development in Transcarpathia during the period, when the region was a part of Czechoslovakia, have been studied in the research. The socio-political conditions of the time have been generalized and described. Opinions of the region’s leading teachers on education of younger generation have been analyzed.
