GASTRONOMICAL CULTURAL CODE IN TURKISH FOLK LITERATURE: FEATURES AND SPECIFITY

Abstract

The article explores the issue of gastronomic culture in Turkish literature, which until recently has not been considered as a separate area of research. In particular, attention is focused on the Turkish gastronomic tradition as an example of a centuries-old history, which is reflected in folk literature. The author explores the “food” code of culture in the Turkish folk literature in the aspects of literary and cultural interaction. As a result, the material of the “food” components in the poetic works of Turkish folk literature is shown on the material of the verses of the aşık tradition.
