George Gershwin’s «Rhapsody in blue» as a phenomenon of composer’s creative recognition

Abstract
The 20-th century came into history of music arts as a period of jazz music genre’s active development. The diversity of talented composers, national American folklore and social aspects gave an impulse for jazz art to go beyond generally accepted bounds. One of such innovators was George Gershwin whose creative personality made a signi¿ cant contribution to the development of jazz. In the article the inÀ uence of George Gershwin’s heritage (on the example of «Rhapsody in Blue»), his worldwide recognition on the jazz art’s development and its general focus are analyzed and disclosed. Besides the main aspects of jazz art’s development and popularization in the ¿ rst half of the 20-th century are characterized.
