Global development of Google Inc. with the use of contractual forms of internationalization
Journal Title: Nowoczesne systemy zarządzania - Year 2014, Vol 9, Issue 1
Abstract
Global enterprises may make a development with the use of various forms of internationalization. It is important, however, that the way of development should reflect the requirements and capabilities of these enterprises, as well the peculiarity of the industry. An example of an individualism in shaping the contractual forms of internationalization is Google Inc. The company skillfully integrates the potential of different forms of contractual agreements (which complement the equity forms of internationalization), dependent upon the objectives, ambient conditions, and needs of the developed technologies. An analysis of the Google Inc. case study, that is contained in the article, refers to the mechanism of internalization with the use of the three forms of contractual agreements: alliances, R&D contracts and licenses. The goal of the article is to specify an impact of these three chosen contractual forms of internationalization on the development of Google Inc. The article contains the empirical analyses.
