Historization of reality as a characteristic feature of Arthur Schnitzler’s drama

Abstract
The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the reÀ ection of historical themes in the plays of one of the prominent playwrights of Austria of the late XIX – early XX century – Arthur Schnitzler. His plays have different levels: language, personages, structure is one of the characteristic features of works, which is not only formal, but also semantic value. Intertextual games act as the main artistic technique in the plays. The attention is focused on the socially denunciative nature of the authors’ plays in the genre of drama; the causes of its actualization are analyzed as well.
