IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF ABRASIVE CUTTING CARBON-CARBON COMPOSITES THROUGH RATIONAL CONDITIONS OF DYNAMIC CONTACT

Abstract

Purpose. Aspects of the processing of carbon-carbon materials with abrasive-containing rotational tools are considered. It is shown that to ensure the high quality of the surfaces obtained, it is necessary to take into account the process-es of contamination of the surface of the abrasive layer with treatment products, as a result of which the conditions of dynamic contact change dramatically and the temperature in the cutting zone increases. It is necessary to constantly improve the ways and methods of processing individual technological elements. Methodology. To predict temperature fields use the basic provisions of heat transfer between the contacting bodies, as well as the law of heat release in the zone of mechanical contact; force interaction is analyzed from the point of view of the theory of contact interactions of elastic bodies. Experimental studies were performed on laboratory equipment LSK-400-5. For the analysis of temperature, the method of pyrometry with certified instruments was used. The study of surface layers and sludge after processing was performed using a PEM-106 I. scanning electron microscope. Results. A mathematical model is proposed for the interaction of elastic bodies with a spot of dynamic contact, which takes into account heat generation due to friction phenomena; The regularities of the formation of temperature fields at the point of contact are given, the relationship between heat generation and pollution of the surface layer of an abrasive tool is established. Originality. For the first time, the features of processing carbon-carbon materials with an abrasive tool, whose cutting surface properties change with time, are analyzed. Practice value. The proposed measures to ensure the rational spot dynamic contact in the cut-ting zone. Reference10, figure 9. It is advisable to use means of active cleaning of the tool surface during machining and the use of a special tool having a certain number of cutting grains on the surface.
