Influence of Additive concentration in Soybean Oil on Rheological and tribological Behavior
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2018, Vol 10, Issue 4
Abstract
The rheology of vegetal oils, additivated or not and the factors that influence their viscosity have been studied by specialists, in order to introduce these oils as lubricants in green industries as agriculture, food processing, transportation and for complying with environmental and health regulations; the vegetal oils are also envisaged as an eco-friendly alternative to similar mineral and synthetic products. This study presents the influence of nature and concentration of additive in soybean oil on its rheological and tribological behavior, reflected by shear stress - shear rate, viscosity - temperature curves and by the wear scar diameter (WSD) after testing the formulated lubricants on a four- ball machine.

Helicopter Roll-Axis Instabilities induced by Pilot Cyclic Control: A Physical Explanation
The main objective of this paper is to give a basic understanding of the mechanisms through which pilot cyclic inputs in lateral cyclic interacts with high-order rotor dynamics destabilizing the helicopter roll motion. T...
The rotational velocities evaluation for the engine mounts gyroscopic loads
The default values for the maximum pitch and yaw speeds from CS 23.371, seem to be too conservative that would result in overstressing of the structure.A simplified dynamic simulation is proposed to evaluate more confide...
Influence of cell wall curvature radius and adhesive layer on the effective elastic out-of-plane properties of hexagonal honeycombs
Numerical modeling of honeycomb structures in aerospace engineering is too tedious and time consuming. The homogenization of these structures permits to obtain an equivalent orthotropic homogeneous solid and its elastic...
Wind Tunnel Testing of Passive High-Lift Systems
This paper presents experimental results obtained with passive high lift systems using a combination of smart flap kinematics and vortex generators. A mid-scale 2.5D wind tunnel model based on DLR-F15 is tested in INCAS...
A Wave Theory of Incompressible Fluid Turbulence: Wall/ Elastic Turbulence
The true problem of turbulence dynamics is the problem of its origin and successive development from some initial conditions (IC) at some boundary conditions (BC) to an ultimate state restored, in a statistical sense, as...
