Interactions between a conductor and ensemble in psychological and social contexts
Journal Title: "Konteksty Kształcenia Muzycznego" - Year 2015, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
The article presents a complex problem of interactions occurring between a conductor and the directed ensemble. The issue is shown both from a psychological and social perspective, taking into account types of communication existing within a society. What makes an exceptionally important question is conductor’s personality in communication with the ensemble as well as its impact on the quality of collective work, with the focus concurrently turned on different kinds of leadership. Another important issue covered by the article in question is a problem of using appropriate incentives in the process of conductor-ensemble communication.
