INTERACTIVE SPEECH-ADAPTIVE COMPLEX IN THE TEACHING METHODS OF UKRAINIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Abstract

The paper studies the problem of the use of the interactive speech-adaptive complex for the needs of the methodology of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language; the role of the speech-adaptive complex in the formation of the foreign students’ speech-cultural adaptation is specified. The aim of the article is to substantiate the meaning of the speech-adaptive complex for the needs of the teaching methods of Ukrainian as a foreign language. Foreign students’ Ukrainian speech undergoes gradual transformation and adaptation through direct immersion into a new linguocultural community. The role of the Ukrainian media is very important, particularly that one of the printed advertisements, as a permanent support of advertising appeals and advertisements in all spheres of everyday life inevitably enriches the experience of international students with new lexemes. The basis for the formation of the speech-cultural adaptation of foreign students is purposeful work on the study of the cultural achievements of the Ukrainian society. The process of communication includes verbal and non-verbal components, which means that the learning process can be optimized in case foreign students comprehend creolized advertising texts containing markers of the Ukrainian ethnic culture. Scientists note that advertising texts are based on a wide range of national, cultural and linguistic units as well as on the well-known realities. It is obvious that the characteristics of an authentic text and a text of an advertisement have much in common, and allows us to interpret the advertising text as an authentic variant. Advertisement is the reflection of many linguistic and cultural processes taking place in society. It is both the product of society’s life activity and the factor which consistently influences the consciousness of the masses defining the ways of formation of people’s values, stereotypes of verbal behaviour and the like. The speech-adaptive complex is a combination of cultural and speech skills as well as cultural background knowledge of foreign students, which are the signs of a secondary linguistic personality adapted to the communicative environment of a certain linguocultural community. The components of the speech-adaptive complex are formed with the help of a system of teaching methods and means of training (exercises, assignments, trainings, role-playing games, etc.), interactive ones above all. The article aims at studying speech and interactive speech-adaptive complex techniques for the teaching needs of the Ukrainian language as a foreign language. The essence of the four components of the speech-adaptive complex is defined: lexical and associative, cultural and regulatory, cultural studies databases and the database of language and culture chains. The peculiarities of the concept of "interactive" and the meaning of interactivity for the speech-adaptive complex are clarified. There has been given an example of a sequential analysis of a creolized advertising text which was carried out according to the designated bases of the speech-adaptive complex. Theoretical provisions are illustrated by some examples of assignments which are likely to facilitate the formation of the speech-adaptive complex while analyzing creolized advertising texts.
