Intercultural Dialogue of Online Media in Zhytomyr Region for 2013-2014

Abstract
The research deals with the problem of intercultural dialogue in online media of Zhytomyr region. Today the problem of intercultural dialogue in online media of Zhytomyr region is almost unexplored and therefore it requires the intensive study. To monitor online media of Zhytomyr region the data was taken from the register of "META" Ukraine websites where fourteen sites of our region were recorded. The attention was focused on the most popular sites among readers. During the information processing the most vivid and characteristic materials were selected in which the attention was focused on the problems related with elucidation of national minorities' activity. The monitoring showed that among registered electronic editions of our city that represented materials devoted to national minorities the most popular were Zhytomyr.info http://zhitomir.info/ – Zhitomir, Journal of Zhytomyr http://zhzh.info – Zhytomyr and others. In these editions the publications devoted to the activity of Polish and Russian, rarely Czech, German, Armenian, Azeri, Jewish and others national minorities dominate. The obtained results show that only a small part of national minorities of our region has its own online media. Presented information concerning the activity of national minorities in these media indicates the insufficient potential of intercultural dialogue by region electronic media. Monitoring of information products in the Internet media of our region showed an insufficient level of constructive dialogue between national groups and the lack of a systematic search for common themes and problems with outlining ways to express them. The research emphasizes the public steps domination of the national minorities in online media publications of Zhytomyr region. Thus, the representatives of national minorities try to assert their presence in the communication space of Polessye that ascertains only the initial stage of the dialogue.
