METHODS FOR CHILDREN’S INVOLVEMENT IN THEATRICAL, ARTISTIC AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES WITHIN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Abstract

Abstract: Study of teaching with methods optimized to increase children’s involvement in artistic and creative activities within artistic programs using innovative stage skills assignments. The methodology consists in using analytical, functional, comparative, professionally critical and systematic methods. The academic novelty of this study consists in the testing of a complete system of exercises of pronunciation, reading logic, that are being used at every lesson with increasing difficulty and diversification of supports. Conclusion. As a result of this study, the following conclusions were reached. First, the participation in the theater-oriented practices already showed, among students, signs of independent behavior and inclination for active behavior. Second, the playful approach in the theatrical program not only contributes to a higher participative motivation but also facilitates the whole educational process. The developmental effect of which depends on the use of training elements, stimulation of cognitive processes, situational problem solving, the use of various study materials, staging, stage eloquence exercises, psychological techniques, body plasticity. Third, the positive outcome of the homework execution is possible under the unique condition that the youngest students’ efforts are directed on understanding the causes and consistencies of the processes and phenomena that they are focused on. Lastly, with the reinforcing-oriented training, the youngest students better memorize the programmed material content, show an individual and optimistic position, self-assurance with respect to original ideas, interesting findings, observations. A particularly valuable outcome is the actualization of artistic abilities that largely contribute to individual openness.
