Abstract
The article analyzes the state and prospects of Ukrainian-Greek relations in the area of economics. The key areas with the great-est prospects of bilateral cooperation (tourism, investments, construction, logistics, metallurgy and agriculture) are determined. Greece is one of leading trade and economic partners of Ukraine in the Balkan-Mediterranean region. It was succeeded due to a strong contractual legal base to the countries, leaning on the requirements of scientific and technical progress and potential of inter-nal and external markets, attain stability in trade and economic industry, to provide introduction of new forms of partnership. At the bilateral level, the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Greek Working Group on Economic, Industrial, Scientific and Technical Coopera-tion, whose priority areas of activity are shipping, food industry, agriculture, industrial construction, transport and energy infrastructure, renewable energy sources. It is worth noting the active participation of Greek banks in the Ukrainian financial market over the past few years. This tendency remains to this day in the context of the global economic crisis. Tourist cooperation between Ukraine and Greece is developing very dynamically. The large and largely unused potential of bilateral cooperation exists in such fields as maritime transport, agriculture and processing of agricultural products, construction materials production, military-technical cooperation, tourism, dairy, tobacco industry, etc. The economic potential of Ukraine, in turn, allows us to ensure a more substantial presence of Ukraine on the Greek market, in particular, machine building, shipbuilding, power engineering, transport engineering, metallurgy, chemical, cement, electrical industry, military industrial complex, and others. The Russian factor has nega-tively affected the economic cooperation between Ukraine and Greece.
