Abstract
The aim of the article is to examine the scope and intensity of work of clerk and scribe (dyak and podyak) one of the Moscow offices, variously known in the sources: „Prikaz sbora pyatinnykh i zaprosnykh deneg” or „Prikaz denezhnogo sbora” (the Tax Office in the Coin). The problem discussed in the text appeared in the Russian historiography regarding the Moscow State and France in the first half of the 16th century, but the authors set the goal to determine the number of acts issued by the office. This article presents the preliminary results of research on the preserved office documents (acts) regarding the collection of extraordinary taxes in 1634, to examine the intensity of work of the said office (prikaz).
