Gathering and Application of the Projects’ Knowledge in Machinery Industry Companies in Poland

Abstract
Project knowledge management should be one of the key areas of activities of modern company. While the number of projects run by the companies increased, the importance of gathering knowledge from running projects and its utilization in the future ones, increased as well. As the projects are managed in the new industries, apart the traditional like ones: IT and construction, it became of high importance to reduce the gap of knowledge in this matter which is related to the other market sectors. In the article the results of the research conducted in the machinery industry companies in Poland are presented. Based on the data analysis the outcomes regarding gathering of projects’ knowledge and its application in a future projects were drawn. It was noticed, that the scope of gathered projects’ knowledge is limited in the machinery industry companies in Poland. It is also remarkable, that the application of gathered knowledge has some limitations too.
