Journal Title: In Translation / في الترجمة - Year 2019, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
This study sheds the light on translation strategies used by the French Orientalists, Perron and Seignette, in rendering into French the famous Maliki jurisprudence summary, known as the Mukhtasar of Khalil Al-Jundi. It also aims at exploring their tools, as well as examining how they served the colonizer’s ideology throughout their translation works.
