Abstract
In the article it is considered the pedagogical classification of educational computer simulators for the preparation of higher education applicants in engineering specialties. Educational computer simulators are electronic educational resources, which provide the multiple accomplishments of similar tasks for the higher education applicants in order to consolidate the investigated information and form the educational skills. There are revealed the types of educational computer simulators in the conditions of informational and educational environment and emphasized the importance of their use in the conditions of training of future engineers. Also it is determined the basic stages of educational computer simulators creation for the higher education applicants of engineering specialties. There are determined the modern technologies of using the educational computer simulators, which expand the possibility of acquiring technological and engineering competencies and analytical abilities.
