ПОЛІСЕМАНТИЧНІСТЬ ЛЕКСЕМИ AGUANTE У СОЦІОЛЕКТІ ЛАТИНОАМЕРИКАНСЬКИХ ФУТБОЛЬНИХ ФАНАТІВ

Abstract
The article deals with the semantics of the lexeme el aguante, the key concept in thе system of Ibero-American soccer fans, so-called “Barras bravas”. We examined its polysemantic nature and the structure of meaning in this sociocultural group. It’s a prime example of the way in which a lexeme can change and extend its semantics in the jargon of a separate social group, and how the value system of the subculture of football fans lines up round it. We distinguish such basic elements in the semantics of the lexeme el aguante, as carnival and wrestling, the first includes practices and rituals during the matches of the favorite team, fan art, the second – aggressive actions in the stadium and outside, aimed to defend the interests of the team, its own territory and symbols. The distinctive features of el aguante in the subculture of soccer fans are corporeality, outward orientation, masculinity, and variance with generally accepted social norms (in particular, the idealization of violence). The article concerns as well the features of subculture of Barras bravas, its difference from hinchas and analogues in other countries, we determine the characteristics of the basis on which the hierarchy within the group is built. The study of these factors allows carrying out a deep analysis of the semantics of the lexeme el aguante.
