Poznawcze walory ilustracji w słownikach dla dzieci

Abstract
Illustrations published in dictionaries for children could be a source of non-linguistic knowledge for their youngest users. It concerns primarily illustrations, often full-page, which contain the presentation of vocabulary belonging to one of the lexical fi elds. These kinds of illustrations show the relationship between various objects and everyday life providing knowledge about the environment and culture. This article discusses selected illustrated dictionaries and discusses the levels and types of non-linguistic knowledge.
