Abstract
The article examines theoretical approaches to the question of control and supervision over the activities of the personnel of correctional colonies of Ukraine. The types of control over the work of the staff of the State criminal-еxecutive service of Ukraine on observance of law in the process of ensuring the rights to protection of life and health of convicts. Considered in detail the question of prosecutorial supervision of such activity.
