PSYCHOLOGICAL FEATURES AND PROBLEM COLLEGE-AGE EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract

Introduction. Education is one of the processes of socialization of the individual that takes place in every society. These individual processes define the importance of moral norms and push or include them in the system of values. Methods. We used the common methods of education classified according to their functional orientation. On this basis these three groups of methods are distinguished: formation of vision and spiritual axiological orientations; methods of organization and formation of behavior; incentives and correction of personality behavior. Results. This allows distinguishing the following directions of university students’ education: professional, patriotic, legal, environmental, economic education; artistic and aesthetic identity formation, universal moral values, labor activity, physical perfection and a healthy lifestyle establishing, development of the individual abilities of students ensuring the appropriate conditions for self-realization. Discussion. From the analysis of the problem it is concluded that modern society requires special attention to the spiritual sphere formation of university graduates. Today more than ever before society requires creating the necessary conditions for existing of free, creative and moral person possessing the intelligence in all its qualities. The formation of such personality is possible under the condition that the spiritual and historical values are preserved and rehabilitated in the country, maintained the priority of development of culture, science and education as essential sources of social progress.
