Psychological features of self-effi cacy development in the adolescent age

Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of the ability of youth to self-ef¿ cacy. The theoretical approaches to the study of the essence, structure and peculiarities of this psychological phenomenon are generalized. It has been established that self-ef¿ cacy consists of the ability to adequately assess personal abilities, social competence, planning activities, and direct the personality to initiative and sustainability in social contacts, as well as perseverance in achieving the goal. It was found that research on self-ef¿ cacy of an individual is most productive in foreign psychology and states that Ukrainian scientists developed methodological approaches to studying the formation of self-ef¿ cacy of an individual as an ability to adequately assess personal abilities, social competence, planning and adjusting activities. It is stated that the young age is a sensational period for self-ef¿ cacy.
