Right of the Professor to Academic Freedom as Private Non-Property Right

Abstract
International and constitutional basis of the right of the professor to academic freedom in Ukraine and the USA is analyzed. The conclusion is made about civil law essence of this right. Characteristics of the right to academic freedom as a private non-property right are: personal character; lack of economic content; inalienability; the term of validity lasts for the duration of the status of a participant in educational relations; absolute character; focus on the identification and development of individuality.
