Abstract
Abstract: The article was an attempt to show the phenomenon of works of an out-standing Czech theologian, philosopher and pedagogue. His writings were focused on anthropology of man and the functioning of a family and a child. The science about man Comenius considered in the context of upbringing, which was necessarily correlated with the formation of each human being. The philosophy of life, which starts in the childhood, is the source of self-discovery, which is a crucial link of the inner har-mony of man. Although the turn of the XVI and XVII centuries was the epoch, in which Comenius lived and created his works, humanities of the contemporary epoch benefit from the plenitude of humanism that was propagated by the great scholar.
