СОЦІАЛЬНА ДЕЗАДАПТАЦІЯ ОБДАРОВАНИХ УЧНІВ ЯК ФАКТОР ДЕВІАНТНОГО РИЗИКУ

Abstract

The emergence of the gifted students presents serious challenges before society and children themselves. The development of gifted students is almost always accompanied by a complex set of different kinds of psychological, psychosomatic and even psychopathological problems, and thus, gifted children are recognized by educators, psychologists and sociologists as a category of deviant risk. Not always and not every gifted child can easily express himself in a modern society that leads to the development of a non-adaptive condition, which may occur as a result of the inconsistency of the socio- psychological or psycho-physiological status of a child with the requirements of a new social situation. Socio-psychological adaptation is an important condition for successful socialization of gifted children. We see the main cause of this situation in the inconsistency of the conditions and requirements of the educational process, social environment, psycho-physiological capacities and needs of the gifted child. The author describes such kind of relationship of individuals and groups, when individuals perform theirs major activity succefully without internal and external conflicts; however, they consistently assert themselves and freely display their abilities.
