СONSTITUTIONAL AND LEGAL PROVISION OF DIRECT DEMOCRACY IN UKRAINE

Abstract
Legislation of Ukraine on the subject of implementation of direct democracy in Ukraine was analyzed in the article. There were researched participation of Ukrainian people in fulfilment of state power, regulation of social relationships. Institutions of elections and referenda as main democratic institutions in Ukraine were considered and their role for the state and society was determined. Mechanism of provision of direct democracy under contemporary stage of state’s development was analyzed in detail and appropriate propositions as to improvement of current legislation were made.
