Сontextual synonymy of the verbal nouns in modern French press

Abstract
The article deals with synonymic relations between verbal nouns in the mass media context. Particular attention is paid to their semantic and stylistic features. We have analyzed the notion of contextual synonymy which is determined as the acquisition by words of the meaningful similarity beyond the language system. Based on the selected materials we have singled out the expressive-stylistic function, as well as the function of explanation and comparison.
