STAGES AND WORKING METHODS FOR SACRED CHORAL WORKS

Abstract

The educational chorus “Academy” of institute of arts of pedagogical university has to be one of the most effective forms of all2 musical development of students. It gives an opportunity to bring up specialists who could not only operate freely the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of study, but creatively use the best achievements of pedagogical science of musical art. The system of music education, in particular conductor’s and choral training, not always fully meets the modern requirements that substantially is confirmed by depreciation of world and domestic musical and choral inheritance. Therefore, especially sharply there are questions of updating of repertoire of choral compositions of sacred music for ensuring appropriate conductors and choral education of future music teachers. Authors of the article research this problem from the point of view of high professional demands existing in the city of Odessa, where the skill of performing choirs has a world2top level. Working out of suitable forms of systematic training including theoretical and vocal components has been analyzed and shown. Each separate stage of developing vocal and executing abilities has been detailed in the training complex uniting both studies and execution. The recommendations for usage of appropriate choral compositions during the process of improving singing qualities are given. Specific features and devices used by up-to-date Ukrainian and European composers creating sacral music are underlined. The types of sacred music that may be used in the repertoire of an educational chorus for the process of training are revealed.
