SUSTAINABLE CONSUMPTION AND CONSUMER ECOLOGICAL BEHAVIOR

Abstract
Expression of the evolution of consumer behavior is to move from the concept of a consumer society to the idea of sustainable consumption, which is an important prerequisite for taking care of the environment.The aim of this paper is to promote the concept of sustainable consumption and related environmental consumer behavior. Unsustainable consumption threatens the continued existence of mankind, so you should develop in their willingness and ability to act respecting live in harmony with nature, so that self-restraint necessary needs. Green consumer behavior can be manifested in the market in different ways. One of them is aware of the quantitative reduction of consumption, so-called “deconsumption”. !is behavior reinforces a variety of tools that create environmental demarketing reducing consumption by social actions of a di"erent nature. !e dissemination of the concept of sustainable consumption requires not only the awareness of consumers, but also the use of appropriate tools to support consumer preferences associated with environmental and ecological goods purchases. !ese issues are the subject of the considerations made in this paper. Their basis is a review of the available literature and own experience and observations of the author.
