TERMINOLOGY OF SMM SPHERE AND PECULIARITIES OF ITS TRANSLATION INTO UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE

Abstract
The present paper focuses on the peculiarities of SMM (Social Media Marketing) lexis and terms.. Nowadays the profession of SMM manager becomes more and more popular in Ukraine, and it is very important to provide adequate translation of such lexis from English into Ukrainian. The main purpose of this article is to analyze the most resent researches of Ukrainian, as well as foreign scientists in the sphere of translation of SMM lexis and terms. Also the author aims to provide the definition of such notions as ‘equivalent translation’ and ‘adequate translation’. For the purpose of characteristics of social media marking lexis two classifications of translation of terms are suggested. The novelty of the analysis consists in the study of translation of SMM terminology into Ukrainian, because, unfortunately, there is lack of practical and theoretical material in this sphere in our country. The theoretical value of the research is reasoned with study peculiarities of rendering of SMM lexis and terminology from English into Ukrainian. Theoretical developments give reasons for practical importance of the proposed research, which may be used in reading course of theoretical and practical translation, stylistics and lexicology. The article also provides examples of comparative translational analysis of lexical units in SMM sphere in English and Ukrainian languages. As conclusion it can be said, that this problem is not discussed enough in our country. Though there are modern researches and articles on this topic, the problem of adequate translation of the terms in this sphere into Ukrainian still exists.
