Abstract
Spain’s foreign policy towards the Asia-Pacific region is analysed. This paper devoted the efforts by government of J.M. Aznar in order to strengthen role of Spain in region from which it has been largely absent. Despite the fact that the Asia-Pacific region is playing the leading ole in the transformation of economic power and global governance, Spain cannot put it high up on its list of priorities. One of the initiatives of the Spanish government’s was Asia-Pacific Framework Plan 2000-2002. It’s found, that at the beginning of XXI century, during an internal debate, the idea arose to extend bi-regional dialogue Spain-America Latina towards a trilateral dialogue which included Asia as the third player. Parliamentary monarchy can play an important role in the process of internationalization of Asian enterprises in Europe and Latin America. Spanish multinational companies have served as a bridge connecting Asia and Latin America.
