THE CONCEPT OF PROFESSIONAL READINESS OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF THE BIOLOGY TO ENHANCE THE COGNITIVE INTERESTS OF SCHOOLCHILDREN

Abstract
The reform of the modern education system, the introduction of a new Ukrainian school, the resulting changes in the educational process, the use of new technologies and teaching methods impose new requirements for the training of teaching staff, including-in the professional competence of teachers of biology. The task of our study is to find out what is the essence of the concept of «teacher's readiness to form students' interests in the field of biology», to identify the components of such readiness. We define the readiness of the teacher of biology for the formation of students' cognitive interests as an integral personality neoplasm, which includes a system of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical, special scientific, methodological knowledge, abilities and skills in the organization of the specified type of activity and emerges as a result of certain experience and is based on the formation of a positive attitude, awareness of motives and needs in this activity and manifests itself in concrete actions. In the structure of the named relationship can be identified motivational, meaningful, practical, reflective components. Each of the components of the professional readiness of the future biology teacher to the formation of students' cognitive interests corresponds to a set of indicators, which this component is characterized by. Thus, we have defined a set of qualities that should have a modern teacher to perform the function of formation of cognitive interests of students to biology. It will serve as a basis for the creation of a modern model of training for this type of activity.
