The Conceptual Model of Readership Competence Formation for the Future Teachers of Foreign Languages by Means of Educational Computer Programs

Abstract

The article is devoted to the model of readership competence formation by means of educational computer programs in the process of professional training for the future teachers of foreign languages. The purpose, tasks, principles, pedagogical conditions, content, forms, methods of teaching, components, criteria and levels of readership competence formation by means of educational computer programs are determined. The object of modeling in our study is the process of forming the reader's competence of future teachers of foreign languages bymeans of educational computer program. The subject of modeling is pedagogical measures that ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of forming the reader competence for the future teachers of foreign languages by means of educational computer program. The purpose of the pedagogical model is to develop pedagogical measures on the conceptual bases of modern pedagogical education that ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of forming the reader competence for future teachers of foreign languages by means of educational computer program. The model developed by us is based on the basic conceptual principles of pedagogical education content and takes into account the conditions and factors, the leading tendencies, based on the improved content of psychological and pedagogical subjects and disciplines of specialization, including traditional and innovative (information and communication) technologies, mechanisms of their application. The blocks of the model of readership competence formation by means of educational computer programs are presented: purposeful, contentoperational, result. Between all the structural blocks of the proposed model, there is a relationship that allows making changes during the work based on the model. The proposed model is an attempt to overcome the contradiction between the objective need for the preparation of a highly qualified teacher of foreign languages, which has a high level of reader competence, and the disadvantages that exist in the system of pedagogical higher education, insufficient attention to the comprehensive harmonious development of the personality of young professionals. We believe that adherence to the model of forming the readership competence of future teachers of foreign languages will contribute to the formation of the necessary level of reader competence by the educational computer program, will help them to provide a comprehensive perception of the material, make the teaching process more accessible, and will incite them interest in the subject of study.
